Romania is a very beautiful country. It is still suffering from the damage inflicted by the communists to her economy and national psyche. She has recently joined the EU, and there are good signs that corruption is being tackled and progress being made.

The people in Romania are warm and friendly. Unlike her neighbours in Eastern Europe, Romania has a Latin history, having been occupied by the Romans. She shares a lot in common culturally with countries like Italy (where many of her young people go to work).
