Hey, I know this website is meant for Romanian and English recipes, but the curry spice is so heavily used by the English people, that it must have become a native by now!
Dahl actually means lentil, but the lentils take so long to cook and not every one likes them, so I make this without them.
For 3-4 people you will need:
Heat the oil and fry the garlic for about 1 minute, then add the chopped onion and cook till it softens (should take about 5 minutes).
After this you add the rest of the vegetables to the pan and give everything a good stir to mix and get coated in oil.
After 4 minutes sprinkle on the spices and herbs and stir again, add the tinned tomatoes and the stock cube(s), and pour just enough water to cover the vegetables, put the lid on and let everything cook (simmer not boil) for 45 minutes or until all the vegetables are soft.
Dahl soup is suitable for vegetarians.
